MCC/H
MCC – Multi-Crew Cooperation
If everything should run smoothly in the air, the flight crew must work together perfectly. We provide the necessary knowledge and skills in the Multi-Crew Cooperation course.
The MCC course is a prerequisite for flying helicopters with two crew members according to instrument or visual flight rules.
The following training options are available:
- MCC/IFR
- MCC/VFR
- Extension MCC/VFR to MCC/IFR
Requirements
Previous knowledge
There is no previous knowledge that must be met before the start of the training.
Theorieausbildung
The theoretical lessons consist of 25 h and usually last up to 5 working days. The following chapters are taught:
- Communication
- Leadership and Teamwork
- Situational Awareness
- Workload Management
- Problem solving and Decision Making
- Monitoring and Cross Checking
- Task Sharing
- Use Of Checklists
- Briefings
- Flight Management
- FMS Use
- Systems Normal operation
- Systems abnormal and emergency operations
- Environment, weather and ATC
Practical training
The MCC/IR training requires 20 h of practical MCC training. When MCC training is combined with a Type-rating for a helicopter with multiple pilots, practical MCC training can be reduced to at least 10 h if the same FSTD is used for both MCC and a Type-Rating.
The MCC/VFR training requires 15 h of practical MCC training. When MCC training is combined with a Type-rating for a helicopter with multiple pilots, practical MCC training can be reduced to at least 7 h if the sameFSTD is used for both MCC and a Type-rating
The extension MCC/VFR to MCC/IFR requires 5 h of practical MCC training.
