TRI/TRE
RotorSky
The Type Rating Instructor (TRI(H)) training qualifies experienced professional pilots to train other pilots on a specific helicopter model. As a TRI(H), you will play a central role in advanced flight training and actively contribute to safety and quality in flight operations. RotorSky also offers standardization for regulatory examiners (TRE – Type Rating Examiner).
Goals
Whether in basic training for a type rating, differences training, or recurrent training: TRI(H)s are not only flight instructors, but also mentors and role models in daily flight operations. The TRI(H) rating is therefore an ideal next step for dedicated professionals who want to pass on their experience – be it in training or in flight operations.

Basics
A TRI(H) must possess not only proven teaching skills but also relevant flight experience. The TRI training consists of didactic training as well as type-specific theory and practice.
The TRI(H) is officially nominated and conducts examinations on behalf of the authority. RotorSky can meet the officially required standardization in this regard.
theory
The theoretical part of the TRI(H) training comprehensively prepares you for your role as a flight instructor on a specific helicopter model.
• 25 hours of teaching and learning
• Minimum of 10 hours of theoretical technical refresher training

Practice
Practical TRI(H) training comprises a minimum of 5 flight hours for single-pilot helicopters and a minimum of 10 flight hours for two-pilot aircraft. Three of these flight hours can be completed on an approved simulator.
Upon successful completion of an Assessment of Competence, you will receive the TRI(H) endorsement for the respective aircraft type on your license.
