RotorSky
NVIS Training Device
The JFJ/RotorSky Night Vision Training Device (NVTD) combines modern VR night vision simulation and training with NV goggles in one system. It provides realistic NV experiences, explains fundamental principles, and demonstrates typical limitations such as halos and shadowing in a practical way.
Generally
This simulator is among the first VR simulators with EASA approval and, as a cost-effective solution, complements traditional NVG training with infrared projectors. Modern operational profiles such as EMS, offshore, or military flights place the highest demands on NVG flying and require thorough training, as relevant limitations and risks remain despite technological advances.

Type
This simulator, with its primary controls and cockpit, replicates the widely used Airbus EC135T2+. However, the NV training is generic and can later be applied to any aircraft type.
Training
The simulator is specifically designed for night vision training, enabling efficient training with the best possible training output. It can simulate all possible effects such as halos, shadows, etc., which is rarely possible during helicopter training. Our training syllabus includes 12 hours of theory and 5 hours on the simulator and is developed according to EASA Part SPA.
